LA PORTE CITY — Union basketball celebrated the senior members of both its boys and girls teams on Friday, Jan. 24, while hosting the Jesup J-Hawks. Those honored that evening included Captain Eric Neipert (son of Rochelle and Dave Winkelman), Captain Jailyn Petersen (daughter of Melissa and Reece Petersen), Josie Bergmeier (daughter of Malissa and Brad Bergmeier), and Captain Lily Lorenzen (daughter of Jennie and Corey Lorenzen). The late Gavin Rohrbach (No. 12) who passed away in a car accident this past September was also a senior member of the Knights boys basketball team.
