Storm girls pin down Redhawks
BELLE PLAINE — South Hardin-BCLUW girls wrestling had the roster depth to sneak out a 30-24 victory over North Tama at a triangular at Belle Plaine High School on Tuesday, Dec. 17, that also featured BGM.
BGM won the three-way dance with a 33-18 victory over North Tama and a 30-18 win over the Storm.
The Storm and Redhawks split their head-to-head matches: Ceanna White (125 pounds) and Leila Wedgwood (135) won their matches by fall for the Storm; North Tama’s Briar Blake (190) and Olivia Youngblood (120) were also pinfall winners.
Taya Hollingsworth, Sisse Levison, and Kaitlynn Dickes won by forfeit for the Storm to push them over the top.
North Tama’s Jocelyn Harms and Blake scored pins against BGM and Addison Hochstetler added a win by forfeit.
White and Hollingsworth picked up pins for the storm against BGM and Cheyenne Simmons added a win by forfeit.
