Dan Coulter
Dan Jay Coulter, 91, passed away on December 16, 2024. He was born on July 31, 1933, to Warren and Marie (Grudgings) Coulter, of What Cheer, Iowa. Married to Annette Cox on June 23, 1955, and raised four sons in Reinbeck, Iowa. Dan farmed all his life and enjoyed fishing and traveling with Annette. His great passion and pride were his family, with annual reunions at home being especially important.
Dan is survived by his sister Jeannine Duncan, of What Cheer, Iowa; his sons David (Donna) Coulter, of Garrison, Iowa; Brent (Ingrid) Coulter, of Traer, Iowa, Matt (Kim) Coulter, of Ankeny, Iowa, and Chris (Denise) Coulter, of Reinbeck, Iowa; eight grandchildren: Jessica, Eric, Lindsey, Ben, KayLynn, Erica, Randi and Danielle; and 13 great grandchildren: Gabe, Emma, Claire, Evelyn, Maverick, Camille, Sage, Dax, Brynn, Austyn, Elly, Skylar and Warren.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Annette; brother Jim Coulter and sister-in-law Lenora Coulter; and sister Dottie (Leola) Behrens and brother-in-law Elmer Behrens; and brothers-in-law Glenn McKain and Doug Duncan.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Overton Funeral Home, 714 1st St., Traer, with a visitation at 10:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow the funeral at Buckingham Cemetery, 1629 P Ave., followed by a lunch at the Traer Golf & Country Club, 1673 US Hwy 63.
