Verna Stavley

Verna Staveley, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away in her home in Taylorsville, Utah on October 4th, 2024. She was born in Traer, Iowa on May 12th,1944 to Joseph and Helen Kopriva, and lived there until she married Gordie Staveley in 1971. The couple moved to Utah where they remained married for 46 years and raised their family in the Salt Lake valley. Verna is survived by her brothers Joe and Larry, and sister Bev, as well as her children, Justin (Christin), Tyler (Nikki), and Britney (Dan), stepdaughters Lori (Greg) and Deanna (Nick), fourteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. There will be a small memorial gathering with family and friends.
