Paul E. Matthiesen

Dysart- Paul E. Matthiesen, 81, of Dysart, died Wednesday, December 5th, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.

He was born August 27th, 1937, son of Louie and Eldora Matthiesen. Paul worked as a Dairy Farmer in Dysart and Night Watchman at Big Timber in Urbana. He was an avid fisherman and gardener.

Survived by: a son, Keith Matthiesen of Dysart, two adopted daughters Rochelle White of Dysart and Michelle Arp of Dysart, and a step daughter Colleen (Tim) Fowler of Dysart; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: his parents; Louie and Eldora Matthiesen.

Services: There was a private service held by immediate family on and a Celebration of Life Service will be held in the summer with close family and friends.

Memorials: May be directed to the family.

He was a wonderful father, grandfather and friend.
