TRAER – On Monday, Jan. 6, 2025, the newest member of the Traer City Council, Aaron Mennenga (right) was administered the oath of office by Traer City Clerk Haley Blaine. He was appointed to the council in December following councilman Jon Panfil’s resignation. Mennenga was the only applicant for the vacancy; his appointment was unanimously approved by roll call vote during the Dec. 2, 2024 regular meeting. The seat will be part of the Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025 city/school election.
