TRAER – The Traer Lions Club is announcing this year’s lighting contest will once again be open to all residents of the North Tama School District! This will include all town and rural residents.

If you live in the country, you are required to notify a number listed below with your address and name, so that we can come and judge your display.

Judging will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 11, and Thursday, Dec. 12 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Please leave your lights on during this time if you want to be judged!

Judging will be based on a point system from 1-10 with three categories including beauty, lighting, and Christmas spirit. First place winners from the previous year cannot win first place this year.

The 2024 first place winner will receive $100; second place winner will receive $75; and third place winner will receive $50.
