Tama County Community Foundation to host grant workshop Dec. 4 at Traer Library
TRAER – The Tama County Community Foundation (TCCF) will host a public grant workshop on Dec. 4 at the Traer Public Library to discuss TCCF’s 2025 grant cycle. Individuals, especially those interested in applying for a 2025 grant, are encouraged to attend the workshop and should register to attend at https://www.cfneia.org/news/events/tama-grant-workshop25.
The workshop will discuss the 2025 grant guidelines, budget template and application and will provide grant writing tips. There will also be available time for Q&A.
The 2025 TCCF grant application opens November 15, with a deadline to submit applications by 5:00 p.m. on January 15. The online grant application will be available on TCCF’s website at www.tamaccf.org. Grants may be awarded to projects in the areas of arts and culture, community betterment, education and youth development, environment and animal welfare, health and human service.
Grants are available to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and government entities. Tax-exempt organizations classified as other than 501(c)(3) are also eligible, if and only if, the project is deemed charitable; please contact Shanda Hansen at 319-243-1357 or shansen@cfneia.org to discuss the project’s eligibility prior to submitting a proposal. Grants selections are made in an effort to create a better quality of life for people in Tama County. A local governing committee reviews the applications from charitable organizations serving their community.
