Traer Theatre reopens following brief hiatus
TRAER – The Traer Theatre reopened on Friday, Nov. 1, for the first time since temporarily closing at the end of July in the wake of longtime theater manager Mona Larsen’s retirement. In the interim, the nonprofit community theater’s board hired a new manager – Madonna Madorin of Traer. At 6:15 p.m. last Friday, the doors to the downtown theater were opened to the public by members of Madorin’s staff as the marquee lights glowed warmly and brightly overhead. The film “The Wild Robot” kicked off the theater’s new season, a family-friendly movie Madorin described as “very sweet.” This Friday, Nov. 8, the film “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is set to play, running through Monday, Nov. 11. Admission costs just $3. For more information on upcoming showtimes, refer to the theater’s Facebook page.
