TRAER – Marv Boldt, a 50-year member of the Traer Fire Department, has added another name to the long line of Boldt family members who have served or are currently serving as volunteer and/or career firefighters – his grandson Johnathan Cochran who recently began volunteering as a junior firefighter with Traer.

Marv’s dad Delbert served for 30 years on the Traer Fire Dept., while Marv’s eldest son Mike along with his sons Drew and Derek (an honorary member) currently serve with Janesville. Marv’s youngest son Brad is also a fireman, working for both Mason City and Clear Lake fire departments.

Members of the Boldt family pictured recently at the Janesville fire station include (l-r) Johnathan Cochran, Brad Boldt, Marv Boldt, Mike Boldt, Derek Boldt, and Drew Boldt.

The back of the men’s shirts proudly proclaim ‘BOLDT. IT’S IN MY DNA.’
