ZCBJ Lodge holds annual appreciation dinner
CLUTIER – Clutier’s ZCBJ Lodge held an appreciation dinner for its members last Saturday evening at the local Hall. Roughly 30 members and their guests including Ollie Kremenak, 100, were in attendance.
While the Lodge boasts more than 300 members with many still living in and around the Clutier area, a great many more are scattered throughout the United States.
The Hall was elegantly decorated for the event with fall decor and twinkle lights, while the painted stage backdrop was lit up to showcase the many businesses – most long gone – that helped build the Clutier community.
Following the dinner, member Bernice Smolik of rural Clutier received recognition as a 75-year member.
Smolik received her milestone pin from Lodge president Kathleen Brundage.
ZCBJ has several events yet to come this year including the annual kids Halloween party set for Oct. 28 from 4-7 p.m. There will be contests, door prizes, face painting, food, treats, and more.
A non-perishable food drive will be held in conjunction with the spooky fun.
