Former Union and current Wartburg Knight Cole Hinders continues to rack up accolades, including being named to the 2014 All-Iowa Conference team. Hinders, a junior defensive end from Dysart, was named as a First Team defensive performer for his work in helping the Knights to the playoffs.

Among Hinders’ recent accomplishments have been a career-high four solo tackles against Loras on November 15, as well as being named the Iowa Conference Player of the Week on October 13.

#5 Wartburg (10-0) defeated #20 St. Thomas (8-2) by a acore of 37-31 on Saturday in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

The Knights face #15 St. John’s (MN) in the Sweet Sixteen of NCAA playoff action on Saturday, November 29, at noon, with quarterfinals and championship game set for Dec. 6 and 19, respectively.
