North Tama alumna urges Redhawks consider becoming Kohawks

Feisel.

TRAER – North Tama High School Class of 2017 alumna Carlee Feisel, RN, BSN, is recommending the current crop of senior Redhawks take a serious look at Coe College in Cedar Rapids in light of the new, renewable Herink Family/North Tama Dollars for Scholars Scholarship.

“Truthfully, attending Coe College for my undergraduate nursing degree was one of the best decisions I’ve made this far in life,” Feisel said as part of a North Tama Dollars for Scholars news release. “Initially I chose to attend Coe for reasons such as the distinguished nursing program, ability to continue playing softball and be involved in the choir, relatively small class sizes with a campus that felt like a close-knit community, and the location being only an hour from home.”

“In hindsight, my college experience at Coe gave me so much more than I could have ever expected. Coe College gave me lifelong friends and connections attached with many memories that continue to bring me joy, abundant opportunities to experience new things, a solid nursing foundation that has tremendously assisted me in graduate school to become a nurse practitioner, and a passion to spread light in this world from my involvement in a campus-associated college ministry group, The Salt Company.”

Feisel continued, “Coe College is a great school to attend and offers over 50 areas of study, average class sizes of 20 students, a strong athletics community producing many talented athletes, professors that feel like family, and so many opportunities for students locally, nationally, and even globally. Again, I can’t say enough good things about Coe College and the opportunities experienced while attending. Go Redhawks and Go Kohawks!”
