Mid-Iowa Youth Beef Team (MIYBT) members including Olivia Hanson (Union High School), Ryan Hosek (North Tama High School), William Kroneman (Benton Community High School), Kaylynn Murty (South Tama High School), and Adelynn Sienknecht (North Tama High School) each recently earned a $2,000 Iowa Youth Beef Team (IYBT) Scholarship from the Iowa Cattlemen’s Foundation. Each member was also awarded an additional $500 for earning their Masters of Beef Advocacy (MBA) certification.

The MIYBT members were invited to compete for the Iowa Youth Beef Team scholarships based upon a written application they submitted detailing their youth beef team membership and the activities they completed to support the Iowa Beef Industry. Contestants were required to complete an interview and make a beef industry presentation on contest day.
