TRAER – The North Tama National Honor Society is hosting a fundraiser in honor of Veterans Day with the non-profit organization Disabled American Veterans (DAV) called Field of Flags. For every $10 donated to the fundraiser, one flag will be placed in Traer’s Taylor Park near the new Military Memorial.

“Each flag is meant to represent veterans and our unwavering commitment to serving all veterans after they’ve sacrificed so much for our country,” the webpage for the fundraiser states.

Donations are being accepted until October 23. Taylor Park’s Field of Flags will be on display the week of Veterans Day which this year falls on Saturday, Nov. 11.

All proceeds from the fundraiser are earmarked for DAV to support “life-changing services for veterans in need and their families.”
